Zoroastrianism is one of the world's oldest extant religions, originating in Iran. Zoroastrianism holds that Ahura Mazda is the creator god, and it holds that there is a constant struggle between good and evil. Its views on messianism, heaven and hell, and free will influenced Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and it was the state religion of Persia from the 6th century BC until the Muslim conquest in 655. Today, it is a minor faith among Iranians and Indian Parsis.
