Zoe Lofgren

Zoe Lofgren (born 21 December 1947) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-CA 16) from 3 January 1995 to 3 January 2013, succeeding Don Edwards and preceding Jim Costa, and from CA 19 from 3 January 2013, succeeding Jeff Denham.

Biography[]

Zoe Lofgren was born in San Mateo, California in 1947, and she worked in Don Edwards' district office and worked at an immigration law firm at San Jose before being elected to the San Jose City College board and to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. She served in that post for 13 years before being elected to the US House of Representatives in 1994, and she represented the 19th district from 2013.
