
Zippalanda was a Hittite city located at present-day Uşaklı Höyük in Yozgat Province, Turkey. The city was an ancient religious center, as were Arinna and Nerik; the city was dedicated to the worship of the weather god Zippalanda, the son of Tarhunna. The Hittite king participated in official religious ceremonies at Zippalanda, and the people of Zippalanda also engaged in military affairs, crafts, hunting, and stock breeding.
