Zheng Tei

Zheng Tei was a Chinese-Japanese triad gangster who served as a lieutenant of the Yokohama Liumang gang in Isezakicho, Yokohama during the 2010s.

Biography[]

Zheng Tei was born in Yokohama to a Chinese family that had resided in Japan for three generations; he was largely unable to speak Chinese. He became involved in the Yokohama Liumang gang and worked at Akira Mabuchi's Yokohama Trading Company for one month before undertaking side-hustles of his own, including the extortion of Isezakicho's homeless camps. In 2019, the homeless ex-yakuza Ichiban Kasuga beat up Zheng and two of his henchmen as they attempted to shake down Yu Nanba, making enemies with the Liumang. While Zheng swore vengeance, Kasuga suggested that he not tell his bosses that he and his men had been defeated by homeless men, and Zheng decided against bothering the camp again.

Kasuga and his growing circle of friends later confronted Zheng at the Lin Lin Hostess Bar in Restaurant Row, intent on forcing him to help them find his boss Mabuchi. Kasuga's friend Saeko Mukoda got herself hired at the bar in order to give referrals to her friends, but she was placed in the VIP room due to her lack of Chinese-language skills. Tei attempted to lick her armpit before she fought him off, and Kasuga and his friends beat down Zheng and his guards before forcing Zheng to give up his knowledge of Mabuchi's business. Zheng would go on to participate in Mabuchi's attempted coup against Tianyou Zhao, resulting in Kasuga defeating him in a third fight in a Restaurant Row alleyway. Zheng and the rest of Mabuchi's supporters were exiled from Yokohama, and he and Mabuchi were beaten one last time when they attempted to lure Kasuga into an ambush passed off as an attempted reconciliation with Zhao. Zheng was once again forced to flee Yokohama for good.
