Zhabei is a neighborhood in Shanghai, China. Historically a working-class neighborhood with a flavor factory and tires factory, it is the location of the Shanghai railway station. The neighborhood witnessed heavy fighting during the 1937 Battle of Shanghai. Today, Zhabei is a center of Shanghai's hi-tech and creative industries.
