Zach Nunn (4 May 1979-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-IO 3) from 3 January 2023, succeeding Cindy Axne.
Biography[]
Zach Nunn was born in Story City, Iowa in 1979, and he was raised in Altoona. He served in the US Air Force and reached the rank of lieutenant-colonel, and he went on to work for US Senator Chuck Grassley and for the National Security Council before serving in the State House from 2015 to 2019, in the State Senate from 2019 to 2023, and in the US House of Representatives from 2023. Nunn, a Republican, was staunchly anti-abortion, said that the 2021 United States coup d'etat attempt was not a "real terrorist attack" or "a real threat to our country", and claimed that the January 6 Committee was an attempt by Nancy Pelosi to "find someone they can hang a noose around."
