Yvette Castleroy (1541-1559) was a French noblewoman and the daughter of Lord Aloysius Castleroy. In 1559, she was inadvertently poisoned by Lord Eduard Narcisse, as she had been dining with his rivals, the family of Pierre Voland, all of whom he assassinated by poisoning their drinks.
Biography[]
Yvette Castleroy was born in 1541, one of many daughters and sons born to Lord Aloysius Castleroy. She arrived at the French court in 1559 after her father became betrothed to Greer Norwood, and she first met Leith Bayard when he rescued her from a pushy member of King Henry II of France's royal guard. While Leith initially rebuffed her advances due to his continuing love for Greer, Leith later decided to enter into a relationship with her, unaware of her relationship to Aloysius; he continued the relationship even after discovering this. In 1559, she stayed with Pierre Voland's family, and she died alongside the rest of the family when the noble Eduard Narcisse poisoned the Volands, who were his rivals.
