Yvelines is a department in western Ile-de-France, northern France, with Versailles serving as its capital. Yvelines was created in 1968 and named for the Forest of Yvelines, and Yvelines had a population of 1,448,207 people in 2019, by which time it also had a member of The Republicans as president of its departmental council.
