Yutaka Mishima (died 10 March 2010) was a Japanese yakuza who was affiliated with the Uenoseiwa-kai clan in Tokyo during the 2000s.
Biography[]
Yutaka Mishima was born in Tokyo, Japan, and he joined the Uenoseiwa-kai yakuza clan and became oath brothers with Masaru Ihara. On 1 March 2010, the two men were sent by Isao Katsuragi to celebrate Ihara's promotion to captain by partying at Club Elnard on Tojo-kai turf in Kabukicho. There, a fight broke out with Hiroaki Arai that resulted in Araki being shot and wounded and Araki pursuing and murdering Ihara. Mishima, who had survived with only a light beating from Shun Akiyama, fled to the Ueno Seiwa headquarters, where he heard Katsuragi on the phone reveal that Ihara's death was planned and that they were plotting to kill Mishima too. Mishima went into hiding at the Tokyo Bay docks, where Takeshi Kido found him while searching for Arai and put him in touch with detective Masayoshi Tanimura, who could offer him police protection in exchange for his testimony.

Mishima's death
On the night of 10 March 2010, Tanimura decided to meet with Mishima at the docks, and he set a trap for a suspected rat in the TMPD by reporting his meeting to his superiors. Mishima told Tanimura all about how the disturbance at Elnard was a setup and that Ihara was murdered on Katsuragi's orders, and Tanimura promised that he would take him to jail for his safety. Just then, however, the corrupt detective Junji Sugiuchi arrived and shot Mishima dead, revealing himself to be a secret Ueno Seiwa member.
