
Yusuf Niazai (1949-5 September 1986) was a Mujahideen leader of the Soviet-Afghan War, killed in the Battle of Khost.
Biography[]
Yusuf Niazai was born in the Khyber Pakhtukhwa region of Pakistan, and joined the Mujahideen in 1978 during the Soviet-Afghan War. Niazai led a unit of Mujahideen at the Mujahideen base of Khost on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan, and in 1986 was killed when the Soviet Union bombarded the base heavily.
