
Yusuf Dawar (1970-1988) was a member of the Afghan Mujahideen.
Biography[]
Yusuf Dawar was born in Laghman Province of Afghanistan to a Pashtun family of bakers. In 1982 he joined the Mujahideen resistance against the Soviet Union during the Soviet-Afghan War, and fought in the Battle of Khost in 1986. He rose to become the commander of a group of five men by 1988, but was killed in Operation Magistral.
