Yoshitomo Kotake (born 1941) was a resident of Tokyo, Japan who frequented Kabukicho during the 1980s. He was a masochist and a lover of S&M, visiting a dungeon in Kabukicho to meet with the dominatrix Ayu-chan. On 12 December 1988, he had a public argument with her after he expressed his dissatisfaction with her performance as a dominatrix, and he told her that he might have to stop seeing her if she continued to fail in her task of being a good abuser. However, after Kazuma Kiryu trained her how to abuse people, she aroused Kotake at their next session at the dungeon, with Kiryu accidentally being discovered as he supervised the session at Ayu's behest; however, Ayu improvised and used Kiryu's presence to further humiliate (and, thus, please) Kotake. After the session, Kotake complimented Ayu, calling her a queen and promising to come back again.
