Otomo crest

Yoshimune Otomo (1558-1605) was the daimyo of the Otomo clan. The son of Sorin Otomo, he fought against the Shimazu and reclaimed most of his lands. He took part in the Japanese invasions of Korea as a Toyotomi vassal, and abandoned Yukinaga Konishi when he was under siege in Pyongyang from Chinese troops. In 1600 he fought in the Sekigahara Campaign as a Western Army general, and died five years after the campaign ended.
