Yoshimori Mogami (1521-19 June 1590) was a daimyo of the Mogami clan and the father of Yoshiaki Mogami.
Biography[]
Yoshimori was the son of Yoshisada Mogami, and he was the brother-in-law of Tanemune Date, the daimyo of the Date of Mutsu Province. Originally a vassal of the Date, he broke free after Tanemune struggled with his son Harumune Date in 1545's Tenbun War, but Harumune reunified the Date clan and seized Ugo Province and Uzen Province, conquering the Mogami. Yoshimori's reign was one of contention with the Date, and on his death in 1590 his son Yoshiaki Mogami became the new daimyo and submitted to the Toyotomi clan.
