The Yomei Alliance was the third largest yakuza organization in Japan, behind the Tojo-kai and the Omi Alliance. Based in Onomichi, Hiroshima, it was founded by shipbuilding magnate Heizo Iwami, and it remained neutral in the rivalry between the Tojo-kai and Omi Alliance. Tsuneo Iwami, Heizo's son and successor, was later arrested for wading into the Tojo-Omi dispute, and Kanji Koshimizu became the alliance's new chairman in 2016.
