Biography[]
Along with Zhao Yan, he was often sent to put down uprisings by the Qiang tribe. However, since they had absorbed many of Han Sui and Ma Chao's defeated forces, the uprisings were unceasing. In the Battle of Fan Castle, he and Zhu Gai were sent as part of the relief force. They met up with the rest of the relief force led by Xu Huang and attacked the Shu forces. They broke through the siege surrounding Fan Castle and saved Cao Ren.
