
Yevhen Serhiyovych Deidei (12 July 1987-10 March 2022) was a People's Front member of the Verkhovna Rada from 27 November 2014 to 29 August 2019.
Biography[]
Yevhen Serhiyovych Deidei was born in Reni, Odessa Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union in 1987, and he participated in the 2004 Orange Revolution at the age of 17. He was convicted of robbery in 2012, but he was released in 2013 and evaded the authorities before taking part in the Euromaidan revolution of 2013-2014. In 2014, he became a special police officer and a member of the Verkhovna Rada, but he received a shrapnel wound from a separatist shell at Avdiivka on 14 July 2017 during the Donbass War. Deidei was notoriously corrupt, accepting bribes, and blocked the attraction of Latvian investment in the port of Reni on behalf of Arsen Avakov. On 10 March 2022, he was killed during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
