Yamato Totsuka

Yamato Totsuka was a Japanese yakuza boss and the patriarch of the Ryūto Mutsumi-kai subsidiary of the Seiryu-kai.

Biography[]

Yamato Totsuka was born in Yokohama, Japan, and he became a member of the Seiryu-kai yakuza clan in Isezakicho. Entrusted with command of the Ryūto Mutsumi-kai subsidiary family and the captaincy of the Seiryu Clan, he became rivals with the lieutenant Mamoru Takabe, whom he twice forced to commit yubitsume. Yotsuka also transformed a renovated Meiji Restoration-era bank into the Sunlight Castle retirement community, where he regularly murdered his wealthiest clients and cashed in their pensions post-mortem to earn more money. In 2019, his scam was discovered by Ichiban Kasuga, who fought off Totsuka and his henchmen before informing Seiryu-kai chairman Ryuhei Hoshino of Totsuka's crimes. Hoshino disapproved of Totsuka's secret side-hustle and expelled him from the clan, enabling Takabe to take over as captain. Totsuka and his Ryūto Mutsumi-kai split from the rest of the Seiryu Clan, and he took advantage of the gang war between the Seiryu Clan and Yokohama Liumang to win over disaffected Seiryu-kai yakuza who disapproved of Hoshino's closeness to Liumang leader Tianyou Zhao. While Totsuka attempted to lure Kasuga into an ambush by harassing brothel owner Hamako Karasawa, Kasuga and his friends defeated Totsuka and warned him to stay away from Karasawa. Totsuka and his rebels were ultimately suppressed by Takabe.
