Yamato Heijiro (born 1947) was Prime Minister of Japan from 2016.
Biography[]
Yamato Heijiro was born in Kyoto, Japan in 1947, the son of an Imperial Japanese Navy airman who served in World War II. Heijiro worked in the anime industry for several years, becoming a wealthy animation executive and the head of Otaka Motion, an anime company headquartered in Tokyo. In 2016, Heichiro was elected leader of the conservative Jiminto party and was elected Prime Minister iwth 21 votes to Komeito leader Itsuki Mori's 17.
