Yamanosuke Hiroto (died 1969) was a Japanese yakuza crime boss who served as patriarch of the West Tokyo-based Hiroto-gumi syndicate during the 1960s. In 1969, his former ally Kenji Mojo insulted his wife, resulting in a war between the Hiroto-gumi and the Mojo-gumi. Hiroto was ultimately assassinated by the Soviet KGB to rein in the two warring yakuza clans, which were subsequently taken under direct KGB leadership.
