The Yamai Syndicate, also called the Yamai-ippa, is a Japanese-American yakuza group based in Hawaii. Yutaka Yamai, a former Tojo-kai gangster who was banned over the murder of his oyabun Shuji Tabata, founded a gang in Hawaii. While the Yamai-ippa was not meant to be a yakuza group, it was seen as such, and his rejection of the label of "patriarch" soon ceased. The gang made enemies with Ichiban Kasuga during the latter's visit to Honolulu in 2023, as Yamai's errand boy Eric Tomizawa's taxi was impounded because of Kasuga.
