Xianning

Xianning is a major city of Hubei province in central China, located on the borders with Jiangxi and Hunan.

History[]

Xianning was an ancient city of China, and it was conquered by the Mongol Empire after a bloody battle in 1271. After the Mongols were evicted from China, it became a city of Hubei province, and today it has a population of 2,772,000 people, with all but 4,785 people being Han Chinese; the rest were Hui, Tujia, Zhuang, Miao, Manchus, and Dong.
