Xanthos of Desphina (472-429 BC) was a Spartan polemarch during the Peloponnesian War. He commanded the garrison of Desphina Fort in Phocis until 429 BC, when he was assassinated by the mercenary Kassandra; she then took his polemarch's seal to the Athenian general Demosthenes for a reward.
