Wu Yan (died 280) was the Governor of Jiangling under Eastern Wu. Holding the rank of General of the Flying Cavalry, Wu Yan was slain during the conquest of Wu by Western Jin in 280.
Biography[]
Wu Yan was General of the Flying Cavalry under Emperor Sun Hao of Eastern Wu, and he served as the military commander of Jiangling. In 280 AD, Wu Yan fought against the Western Jin general Du Yu at the Fall of Jiangling, where he was slain.
