Wladyslaw Belina-Prazmowski (3 May 1888-13 October 1938) was a general of the Polish Army.
Biography[]
Wladyslaw Belina-Prazmowski was born on 3 May 1888 in Ruszkowiec, Congress Poland, and he joined the Union of Active Struggle in 1909. He was one of the first Poles to join the military of Austria-Hungary during World War I, and he became a regimental commander of the Polish Army after Poland gained independence from the Russian Empire in 1918. Belina's troops were instrumental in carrying out the Vilna Offensive against the Bolsheviks, and he was commended by Jozef Pilsudski for his efforts. In 1929, he retired from the military and moved to Krakow, where he died in 1938 after serving as mayor from 1933 to 1937.
