Wind Feather was a Sioux chief allied to the United States during the Great Sioux War.
Biography[]
Wind Feather was born to the Sioux tribe of Montana, and he became a war chief of the tribe. Wind Feather decided to side with the United States during the Plains Indian Wars, allying with the gold miners in the Black Hills against Crazy Horse and the Oglala tribe of the Sioux in 1876. Wind Feather helped in defending the gold mines of Billy Holme from the Spanish miners and the Sioux, destroying their barracks to defend the mines.
