Wilson Rodriguez

Wilson Rodriguez (born 1963), known as "Buscapé" (Firecracker or Rocket) in his youth, was a Brazilian journalist who grew up in the Cidade de Deus favela of Rio de Janeiro. Rocket's brother was Goose, a member of the Trio Ternura during the 1960s until his death in 1969.

He was a witness to the rise of the drug lord Ze Pequeno, as well as the war between Ze and Carrot that raged in 1981. During this war, Rocket became a photographer, taking photos of Ze and his gang. Rocket finally earned a job at the local paper for taking photographs of Ze's corpse after he was shot to death by the Runts.
