
William Woods (November 1790-7 August 1837) was a member of the US House of Representatives (NR-NY 28) from 1 December 1823 to 3 March 1825, succeeding William B. Rochester and preceding Timothy H. Porter. Born in Washington County, he practiced law in Bath before serving in the State Assembly from 1823 to 1828, in Congress, and as surrogate of Steuben County from 1827 to 1835.
