William Piper (1 January 1774 – 1852) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-PA 7) from 1811 to 1813 (succeding John Rea and preceding John M. Hyneman) and from PA-8 from 1813 to 1817 (succeeding William Findley and preceding Alexander Ogle).

Biography[]

William Piper was born in Everett, Pennsylvania in 1774, and he served in the US House of Representatives from 1811 to 1817 before commanding a regiment during the War of 1812. After his service, he served as Adjutant General of Pennsylvania, and he served in the State Senate from 1817 to 1820 and from 1821 to 1832. He died in 1852.
