
William Pinckney McLean (9 August 1836 – 13 March 1925) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-TX 2) from 4 March 1873 to 3 March 1875, succeeding John C. Conner and preceding David B. Culberson.
Biography[]
William Pinckney McLean was born in Copiah County, Mississippi on 9 August 1836, and his family moved to Marshall, Texas in 1839. He became a lawyer in Jefferson in 1857, served in the State House in 1861, served in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War, served in the State House in 1869, served in the US House of Representatives from 1873 to 1875, and served as a judge in 1884 before moving to Fort Worth in 1893 and dying there in 1925.
