
William Milnor (26 June 1769 – 13 December 1848) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-PA 2) from 1807 to 1811 and from PA 1 from 1815 to 1817 and from 1821 to 1822, as well as Mayor of Philadelphia in 1829 (interrupting Benjamin Wood Richards' terms).
Biography[]
William Milnor was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1769, and he engaged in mercantile pursuits before serving as a Federalist member of the US House of Representatives from 1807 to 1811, from 1815 to 1817, and from 1821 to 1822, serving as one of several concurrent representatives from the 2nd and 1st districts. In 1829, he was elected to serve as Mayor of Philadelphia for one year, and he died in Burlington Township, New Jersey in 1848.
