
William Lounsbery (25 December 1831-8 November 1905) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NY 15) from 4 March 1879 to 3 March 1881, succeeding Stephen L. Mayham and preceding Thomas Cornell.
Biography[]
William Lounsbery was born in Stone Ridge, New York in 1831, and he became a lawyer in Albany in 1853. He served in the state assembly in Ulster County in 1868, as Mayor of Kingston from 1878 to 1879, and in the US House of Representatives from 1879 to 1881, and he died in 1905.
