William Johnston (1819-1 May 1866) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-OH 8) from 4 March 1863 to 3 March 1865, succeeding Samuel Shellabarger and preceding James Randolph Hubbell.
Biography[]
William Johnston was born in Ireland in 1819, and he emigrated to Ohio and practiced law in Mansfield from 1859 to 1863. He went on to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1863 to 1865, and he died in 1866.
