William Irvine (14 February 1820-12 November 1882) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NY 28) from 4 March 1859 to 3 March 1861, succeeding William H. Kelsey and preceding Robert B. Van Valkenburgh. Born in Whitney Point, he practiced law in Corning before serving in Congress and as colonel of the 10th New York Cavalry Regiment during the American Civil War. He practiced law in San Francisco from the war's end until his death.
