
William Hunter (3 January 1754-30 November 1827) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-VT AL) from 4 March 1817 to 3 March 1819, succeeding John Noyes and preceding Ezra Meech.
Biography[]
William Hunter was born in Sharon, Connecticut in 1754, and he resided near Fort Edward, New York before moving to Windsor, Vermont and serving in the Patriot militia during the American Revolutionary War. Hunter served in the state house in 1795, 1807, and 1808, as a judge from 1801 to 1816, and in the US House of Representatives from 1817 to 1819. He died in 1827.
