
William Hiester (10 October 1790-13 October 1853) was a member of the US House of Representatives (AM-PA 4) from 4 March 1831 to 3 March 1837. Born in Berne, Pennsylvania, he served in the War of 1812, as a lawyer in Lancaster County, as a justice of the peace from 1823 to 1828, in Congress, and in the state senate from 1840 to 1842 as a Democrat.
