William Hardy Murfree (2 October 1781 – 19 January 1827) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NC 1) from 4 March 1813 to 3 March 1817, interrupting Lemuel Sawyer's terms.
Biography[]
William Hardy Murfree was born in Hertford County, North Carolina in 1781, and he practiced law in Edenton before serving in the General Assembly in 1805 and in the US House of Representatives from 1813 to 1817. He died in 1827 at the age of 45.
