William Czar Bradley (23 March 1782-3 March 1867) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-VT) from 4 March 1813 to 3 March 1815 (preceding Daniel Chipman), from VT-2 from 4 March 1823 to 3 March 1825 (succeeding Phineas White and preceding Rollin C. Mallary), and from VT-1 from 4 March 1825 to 3 March 1827 (succeeding Mallary and preceding Jonathan Hunt).
Biography[]
William Czar Bradley was born in Westminster, Vermont in 1782, the son of US Senator Stephen R. Bradley. He became a lawyer in 1802 and served in the US House of Representatives from 1813 to 1815 and from 1823 to 1827, and, from 1815 to 1820, he was sent to fix the Maine-Canada boundary line. In 1830, 1834, and 1838, he was an unsuccessful Democratic candidate for Governor, as well as an unsuccessful Free Soiler in 1848 and Republican in 1856. In 1856, he served as a John C. Fremont presidential elector. He died in 1867.
