
William Crawford (1760-23 October 1823) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-PA 6) from 4 March 1809 to 3 March 1813 (succeeding James Kelly and preceding Samuel D. Ingham and Robert Brown) and from PA-5 from 4 March 1813 to 3 March 1817 (succeeding George Smith and preceding William Maclay and preceding Andrew Bolden).
Biography[]
William Crawford was born in Paisley, Scotland in 1760, and he emigrated to the United States and settled near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He purchased a farm on Marsh Creek in 1785, and he served as an Associate Judge for Adams County from 1801 to 1808 and in the US House of Representatives from 1809 to 1817. He died in 1823.
