William Clark (congressman)

William Clark (18 February 1774-28 March 1851) was Treasurer of the United States from 4 June 1828 to November 1829 (succeeding Thomas Tudor Tucker and preceding John Campbell) and a member of the US House of Representatives (AM-PA 10) from 4 March 1833 to 4 March 1837 (succeeding Adam King and preceding Luther Reily). Born in Dauphin, Pennsylvania, he served as secretary of the Pennsylvania land office from 1818 to 1821, state treasurer from 1821 to 1827, US Treasurer from 1828 to 1829, and in Congress.
