
William Blount Carter (22 October 1792-17 April 1848) was a member of the US House of Representatives (W-TN 1) from 4 March 1835 to 3 March 1841 (succeeding John Blair and preceding Thomas Dickens Arnold).
Biography[]
William Blount Carter was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee in 1792, and he served as a colonel in the US Army during the War of 1812. He served in the state legislature before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1835 to 1841, and he died in 1848.
