William Bellinger Bulloch (1777-6 May 1852) was a US Senator from Georgia from 8 April to 6 November 1813, succeeding William H. Crawford and preceding William Wyatt Bibb. He was a Democratic-Republican.

Biography[]

William Bellinger Bulloch was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1777, and he became a lawyer in 1797. In 1804, he became a district attorney, and he served as Mayor of Savannah in 1812 and as an alderman in 1814. During the War of 1812, he served in the Savannah Heavy Artillery on the Georgia coast, and he would briefly serve in the US Senate before serving in the state legislature after the war. From 1816 to 1843, he was president of the State Bank of Georgia, and he was also a slaveowner. He died in 1852.
