
William Brewster Williams (28 July 1826-4 March 1905) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-MI 5) from 4 March 1873 to 3 March 1877, succeeding Wilder D. Foster and preceding John W. Stone.
Biography[]
William Brewster Williams was born in Pittsford, New York on 28 July 1826, and he became a lawyer in Rochester, New York before moving to Allegan, Michigan in 1855. He served as a probate court judge from 1857 to 1865, in the State Senate from 1866 to 1870, as a delegate to the 1868 Republican National Convention, in the US House of Representatives from 1873 to 1877, and railroad commissioner of Michigan from 1877 to 1883. He died in 1905.
