
William Bennett Fleming (29 October 1803-19 August 1886) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-GA 1) from 10 February to 3 March 1879, succeeding Julian Hartridge and preceding John C. Nicholls.
Biography[]
William B. Fleming was born in Flemington, Georgia in 1803, and he became a lawyer in Savannah. He served as a superior court judge from 1847 to 1849 and from 1853 to 1868 and in the US House of Representatives in 1879, after which he once again served as a judge from 1879 to 1881. He died in Walthourville in 1886.
