William Allen Trimble (4 April 1786 – 13 December 1821) was a US Senator from Ohio (DR) from 4 March 1819 to 13 December 1821 (succeeding Jeremiah Morrow and preceding Ethan Allen Brown).

Biography[]

William Allen Trimble was born in Woodford County, Kentucky in 1786, and he became a lawyer in 1811, practicing law in Highland County, Ohio. Trimble later joined the US Army and served in campaigns against the Potawatomi Native Americans, rising to the rank of lieutenant-colonel. He was elected to the US Senate in 1818, but he died in office in 1821.
