The Willard InterContinental Washington, also known as the Willard Hotel, is a historic luxury hotel in Washington DC, located at 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue. The hotel originated as six small houses built in 1816, and they were consolidated into a unified structure in 1847; the current building was finished in 1901. On the eve of the 2021 United States coup d'etat attempt, Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani used the hotel as a headquarters to plan the decertification of Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election.
