Wendelin Gerhardt (died 1191) was a captain of the Teutonic Order. Also a member of the Templar Order, Gerhardt was a key leader of the Knights Teutonic during the Third Crusade. Gerhardt was assassinated by Altair Ibn-La'Ahad in 1191.
Biography[]
Wendelin Gerhardt was born in Germany and became a captain of the Teutonic Order, a monastic military/religious order that sought to take over the Holy Land for the Christians. Gerhardt occupied Jerusalem and was a key leader of the invading army, and while there he became an agent of the Templar Order. Gerhardt was involved in their plans to take over the Holy Land and find the piece of Eden.
Death[]
Altair Ibn-La'Ahad was sent by Malik al-Sayf to assassinate Gerhardt, who was in Jerusalem. Altair chased the Teutonic Captain over the rooftops before gaining on him, and he was able to jump at his back and stab him with his hidden blades. He reported his success to Malik.
