
Wei Jie (170-191 AD) was a general of the Han dynasty during the late 2nd century AD.
Biography[]
Wei Jie was born in Youfufeng, and he served as a colonel in the Han northern army and as a Magistrate in Hedong before the alliance against Dong Zhuo was assembled in 190 AD. In 191 AD, his army moved into the lumber yard of Badong to protect the town from Sun Jian's army, and he defended the town when Sun Jian's army assaulted the town. Wei Jie was severely wounded by Sun Jian during the melee fighting, but Sun Jian himself due to suffering from battle wounds himself. Wei Jie attempted to pursue Sun Jian, only to be cut down by Sun Jian's foot soldiers as he attempted to pursue him.
