Water Street is a street in Boston, Massachusetts. It was laid out in 1654 through Stephen Winthrop's marsh, and several buildings burned in the fire of 20 March 1760. In the colonial era, Water Street ran from Cornhill in the west to the Boston Harbor waterfront. The street was widened as Boston rebuilt. Today, Water Street runs parallel to Milk Street and ends at Broad Street.
