The Wanasetock were a Native American tribe that lived in New England until the Wanasetock War of 1675. The Wanasetock were led by Chief Quimmequin, also known as "Swimmers", and they came into conflict with the English settlers due to the ownership of cattle near Bedford Park. Eventually, skirmishes broke out, and the English wiped the Wanasetock out in a war that left no Native American alive.
